Penn Cove Mussels have plump, delicate meat and a fresh, sweet flavor beautifully presented in unique iridescent midnight-blue shells.
Operating since 1975, Penn Cove Shellfish is proud to be America’s first mussel farm! We grow Pacific Blue Mussels which are wild mussels native to the northwest. They naturally grow in the glacial waters of Penn Cove located in Coupeville Washington on Whidbey Island.
We are able to raise them by suspending thousands of delicate, fibrous seed-collector lines from floating rafts.
All bags of mussels are packed with an extra half to 1 pound to account for any water loss during transit.
